Both of them list KEYLESS ENTRY as standard equipment. Your's may not be working properly, but I doubt that JLR would build a car that is lacking it. TO LOCK: Make a fist and press the indent on the door handle with your thumb. TO UNLOCK: Wrap your fingers around the back of the door handle. Do not touch the indent.

My Fiesta ST (2014) had a similar issue. Apparently the Keyless Entry has a sensor built into the door handle and a control module underneath the passenger seat. Ford replaced the module under the seat eventually under a couple of days investigation, but were sure it was the handle as it's quite common with Keyless entry problems.
