You (and basically the rest of this subreddit) seem to forget that newer players also exist. If the expectation is that the Skyscale is only for people who have regularly been farming LS4 maps for months, then it should not have been heralded as the hallmark feature for the patch, and especially shouldn't have been wrapped in wording like "meet the Skyscale today!"
Posted January 10, 2021. I believe using updrafts would fit the griffon perfectly. The griffon requires a high starting point in order to properly shine. Updrafts would make it easier to get to a high starting point and to use the griffon's abilities. It wouldn't make any other mounts obsolete since the skyscale would still be the only mount
